Pray Daily

Pray Daily is a bimonthly prayer calendar with suggested prayer points for each day of the year. It is primarily useful for individuals, but also good for prayer meetings. SEPTEMBER

1 W Malawi: p.7 Pray for the Girvan family as they settle back into life in Australia. May our churches be encouraged by and continue to partner with what God is doing in Malawi.

*2 T Thailand: p.15 Pray for Lee and Lyn as Lee regains his strength and optimism after extensive cancer therapy. May the love of God surround them both.

3 F Zambia: p.28 Give thanks that Roger Kemp’s recent assessment of teachers, trained in the Training of Trainers program, exceeded expectations. Pray that the new teachers will become effective in their village churches and that more churches will join the program.

*4 S Australia: p.34 Pray for wisdom for Trevor Spicer as he directs Global Interaction’s use of funds and resources. Pray for God’s protection and guidance over Trevor and his wife Jenny.

5 S South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Dave and Caz* as they work for the establishment of the education foundation. Ask that people with TESOL training or IT experience respond to the call to join the program.

6 M South Asia: p.13 Pray for Graeme in his work managing the projects with our Partner Organisation in South Asia. Pray for safety in travel, good health, wisdom and patience as he works with staff.

7 T Cambodia: p.17 John and Karen ask for prayer that their language skills continue to improve. Remember John as he learns the appropriate Khmer words to use when praying and speaking at churches.

8 W Hong Kong: p.25 Remember Sharlee as she works to develop church leaders and educators. Pray for her safety in travel and for the urgent need for leadership training in Asia.

*9 T Thailand: p.15 Pray with Lyndal for the elderly, who lack social services and rely on extended family and neighbours for help. Grandparents often raise orphaned grandchildren and require good health and strength.

*10 F Malawi: p.7 Pray for Graham and Pam as they continue to improve their language, for their health and safety, and for development of relationships with local people.

*11 S Thailand: p.15 Pray for Garry and Nicola as they interact with Thai people, that their communication may be clear and that they be able to minister to the people and understand their needs.

*12 S Bangladesh: p.27 Pray with Geoff Ryall, that believers will have courage and sensitivity as they share the Gospel, despite being a tiny minority in Muslim and Hindu communities.

13 M South East Asia: p.21 Give thanks for Luke and Felicity’s* progress in the national language and the relationships they’re developing. Ask that their more specialised lessons will help develop culturally appropriate language skills.

*14 T Central Asia: p.11 Pray for Bruce and Cheryl Roberts as they adjust to life in Australia. May God’s love uphold them as they seek new directions for service. 

15 W Mozambique: p.7 Pray for the team children in Mozambique: Samuel, Caleb, Hannah, Micah and Josiah Crane and Tahlia, Shenae, Liam and Ethan Smith. May they flourish, find good friends and experience success in learning language.

16 T South Asia: p.13 Remember Ant and Jac* who are currently on home assignment. May God uphold them and may the work with the fisheries continue to flourish.

*17 F Thailand: p.15 Give thanks for Sarah Alway as she takes up life in Australia after her two year Gi6Pro placement home-schooling staff children. She has been a blessing to families in the team and local school communities.

18 S Malawi: p.7 Pray for protection for Tim and Mel and their sons, Jarred and Clayton. Pray for the work they are doing and that their trust in God is strengthened.

*19 S Central Asia: p.11 Pray that Cliff* may have wisdom and discernment of the Spirit when talking to those around him about difficult life issues.

20 M Outback Australia: p.24 Give thanks for Jerry Jangala who continues to lead and encourage the church with his teaching using iconographs.

21 T Vietnam: p.25 Pray for the House of Grace and its work caring for children with disabilities. Ask that the life-enhancing services the centre provides may break the poverty cycle.

22 W Central Asia: Pray that R and B* will have a powerful impact on the lives of the students they teach. Pray that the relationships formed will give them opportunities to share the gospel.

23 T South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Dave and Edwina* as they grow in cultural understanding. May their experience be used to build loving relationships with local people.

24 F South Asia: p.13 Pray for the new short-term and long-term expat personnel that are urgently needed to work for the Training Centre and the fisheries.

25 S Cambodia: p.17 Remember Barry and the Cambodian staff and volunteers working for peace within churches, families and communities. Pray that ‘Peace Bridges’ will develop into a sustainable local organisation.

26 S Malawi: p.7 Praise God that Sarah and Hannah Girvan have their Australian citizenship. Pray that they, with Amy and Rachel, adjust to life in Australia and establish good friendships.

27 M Thailand: p.15 Give thanks for quickly renewed visas. Pray for Global Interaction, that recent changes in the system will not create problems in getting visas in the future.

28 T Central Asia: p.11 Pray for wisdom and perseverance for David and Shirley in learning the local language. May they be empowered to strengthen their relationships with their students.

29 W Australia: p.34 Pray for each of the National Office Support Staff Members and give thanks for their courtesy, competency and devotion to the work of Global Interaction.

*30 T South East Asia: p.21 Pray that Rick and Irene* will grow in cultural understanding, so they can better minister and that the IS people will come to understand the hope and fullness of God’s love.

OCTOBER

1 F Outback Australia: p.24 Give thanks for all the churches and individuals who responded to requests for clothes for the flourishing “Op Shop” ministry. Pray for Yapa church leaders in Yuendumu, Willowra and Ali Curung.

*2 S Thailand: p.15 Pray for Dema and Carolyn, along with Grace and Daniel, as they settle into life and ministry in Thailand. Pray that they will easily adjust to the Thai culture and grow in understanding and use of the Thai language.

3 S Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Barry and Fiona. Pray that Visarl and Narin flourish, that they keep healthy and find good friends both in Australia and Cambodia.

4 M Bangladesh: p.27 Pray for Joyramkura Hospital, that ways may be found to help the hospital overcome their funding shortfall and lack of doctors. Pray that interested people or churches be prompted to come up with good ideas.

5 T Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Ben and Samantha as they work and study in preparation for Mozambique. May they build strong partnership networks to pray for and support them.

6 W Australia: p.34 Pray for wisdom for Karen Newnham as she prepares people for cross-cultural work. May God protect and guide her, along with Bruce and their family.

7 T Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Ron and Heather as they settle into life in Cambodia. Ask for wisdom for Heather in her roles as Team Leader and the leader of Christian Care for Cambodia.

*8 F Silk Road Area: p.9 Remember Chris and Bron in Australia with Esther and Sarah. Pray for safety in travel and good health. May they be refreshed in mind and spirit with their vision sustained and renewed.

9 S Outback Australia: p.24 Remember John and Angela Wilmot. Pray that Michael, Shaun, Grace, Martha, Ruth, Brian and Jessica enjoy their schooling, keep healthy and develop good friendships in Newman.

10 S Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Ryan and Donna as they work and study in preparation for Mozambique. May they build strong partnership networks to support them and uphold them in prayer.

*11 M Zambia & Zimbabwe: p.28 Pray that Keith Gallagher’s visit and message to the leaders at the September conference will continue to encourage them and their churches. Ask for wisdom in choosing messages that are relevant to the situation of their people.

*12 T Thailand: p.15 Pray that Anna’s background in medical research and pastoral ministries will be used by God in her community work and gospel sharing with the ethnic Thai.

*13 W Mozambique: p.7 Pray that Scott and Bek’s Portuguese studies flourish and that they develop a generous and enthusiastic support team.

*14 T Central Asia: p.11 Give thanks for the contribution Bruce and Carole Armstrong made to the teaching team and pray for them as they resettle in Australia.

*15 F Silk Road Area: p.9 Pray for John and Glenda as they persevere with language. Pray for Glenda’s health and for John as he leads and encourages the team.

*16 S Central Asia: p.11 Pray with Dan and Gaye* for the emergence of new believers and the growth of faith groups among the H people. Give them wisdom when dealing with people with serious life issues.

*17 S Thailand: p.15 Pray for Larry and Jan as they go into local schools, that through their relationships they may influence teachers and students for Christ.

*18 M Hong Kong: p.25 Pray for Sunny Mak, that the resources he produces will equip the leaders and churches in Hong Kong to minister and share their faith.

19 T South East Asia: p.21 Give thanks that Luke and Felicity* passed their final language test and have begun special purpose lessons, learning to pray using the poetic prayer language. Pray that their skill continues to improve.

*20 W Malawi: p.7, Pray for Ian and Wendy and the team serving in Malawi. May God give them the wisdom and the graciousness needed to minister in that context.

*21 T Cambodia: p.17 Give thanks for Catherine and pray that her enthusiasm for communicating in Khmer continues to grow and that genuine relationships develop.

22 F Outback Australia: p.24 Remember Doug and Sue Heckathorn with Josiah, Samuel, Sarah and Jemmah. Pray that the children keep healthy, build good friendships and enjoy educational opportunities.

23 S Silk Road Area: p.9 Pray for Michael and Chasely as they, with Hannah, Rachael, Alicia and Joshua, make all the adjustments needed to start their new life in Australia.

24 S Thailand: p.15 Pray for the team young people and children: Emma & Melissa, Josiah & Tillie, Addison, Elizabeth, Keegan & Imogen. May they keep happy and healthy, making good progress with their studies.

25 M Australia: p.35 Pray for the State Teams. May God guide them as they search and nurture people with the desire to spread the Good News across the world.

26 T Australia: p.34 Pray for Chris Barnden as he supports the cross-cultural teams and plans for the strategic direction of Global Interaction ministry. Pray for God’s guidance and protection over him and Julie.

*27 W Hong Kong: p.25 Remember Lindsay and Jane Robertson in their work as teachers in the seminary, school and local churches. Pray that they serve the students and church leaders effectively.

28 T Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Steve and Lisa.  Pray that Joel and Emma flourish with their schooling and that, along with Noah, they keep good health and find good friends.

29 F Silk Road Area: p.9 Remember Daniel and Camilla as they prepare their hearts and lives to go to Kazakhstan with their son Micah. Pray that they establish a wide base of faithful supporters to pray, encourage and give generously.

30 S Mozambique: p.7 Remember Tobias and Heather, along with their son Elijah, as they prepare for service by learning Portuguese. Pray that they acquire enough language to function well when they are in country.

31 S Thailand: p.15 Pray for the team young people and children: Anna, Rebekah, Yindii & Zoe, Grace & Daniel and Lukgade. May they keep happy and healthy, making good progress with their studies.
